In Their Footsteps is a wayfinding system that takes the visitors to the exhibits that interest them. Registering their feet and selecting a category based on their interests allows paths to be displayed on the floor of the museum, these are created through crowdsourcing data from the paths that past visitors have taken. Each visitor can also change their path through a floor-based menu that is controlled by a series of simple foot gestures. In Their Footsteps allows visitors to get to where they want to be in a manner which is entertaining and adds a new aspect to navigating the museum, allowing them to get the most from their museum experience. Added to wayfinding our concept also allows you to keep track of your partners if you are visiting with others, giving you a chance to highlight their paths, or a path leading you to them. This means you can navigate the museum in the way you desire whilst always having the option of rejoining your partners.
